The best inventory management system in Malaysia depends on where your stock leaves the building. If you sell on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Zalora or your own Shopify store, you need stock synced across every channel in real time, and that is what OneCart does. If you sell mostly over a counter, a POS with inventory fits better. If your accountant runs AutoCount or SQL Account and you sell offline, their stock modules may be all you need. If you manufacture, you are shopping for an ERP.

OneCart is an inventory and order management system built in Singapore for Southeast Asian marketplace sellers. This guide is written from what we see when sellers move to us from spreadsheets and other systems, and it recommends other software wherever it fits you better.

What a Malaysian inventory system needs to handle

  • The marketplaces. Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop carry most online orders in Malaysia, with Zalora for fashion and your own Shopify or WooCommerce store alongside. If one of your channels is missing from a system, you will be updating that one by hand.
  • Sale days. 9.9, 10.10, 11.11, 12.12 and Raya campaigns can bring a week of orders in an hour. Stock has to update on every channel within seconds, or you oversell and take cancellation penalties.
  • Bundles and variants. Combo sets and size and colour variants need to draw down component stock.
  • Warehouses and 3PLs. Many sellers keep stock in a Klang Valley warehouse plus a 3PL or a second state. The system should hold separate counts per location.
  • e-Invoice. LHDN’s MyInvois rollout reached businesses with turnover up to RM5 million on 1 January 2026. Businesses with annual turnover below RM3 million are exempt. If you are in scope, your sales need to reach your accounting system cleanly so e-Invoices can be issued from there.
  • Cross-border. Many Malaysian brands also open Shopee and Lazada Singapore, so the system should run more than one country’s stores in one account.

The 9 best inventory management systems in Malaysia

1. OneCart: best for brands selling on several marketplaces

Who it is for: brands and growing sellers on two or more online channels who are tired of updating stock in every Seller Centre.

OneCart keeps one stock count for every SKU and pushes changes to every connected store in real time. A sale on Shopee updates the same item on Lazada, TikTok Shop, Zalora and Shopify straight away. Orders from every channel arrive in one list, where you print labels, arrange shipment and pick and pack in batches.

  • Channels: Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Zalora, Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Temu, Magento, eBay and Walmart, with Malaysian, Singapore and other countries’ stores on the same account.
  • Inventory: bundles and kits, multiple warehouses, low-stock alerts and a Stock Planner for reorder quantities.
  • Accounting and ERP: Xero (add-on), NetSuite, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Odoo.
  • Support: Singapore-based support by email, chat and phone, WhatsApp from Growth, account manager on Business.

Pricing: billed in Singapore dollars. Starter S$99 a month (300 orders, 1,000 SKUs), Trader S$239 (1,000 orders, 5,000 SKUs), Growth S$499 a month billed annually (3,500 orders, 15,000 SKUs) and Business S$868 a month billed annually (10,000 orders, 50,000 SKUs). Every plan connects as many stores as you like, and there is a 14-day free trial with no card. See pricing.

Pick something else if: you sell mostly through a till, or on a single store with a small catalogue.

2. BigSeller: best free option for resellers

Who it is for: resellers and dropshippers who need to start at zero cost.

BigSeller’s free plan covers 1,500 orders a month, 3 stores, 2 sub-accounts and 500 SKUs. In Malaysia, paid tiers start at RM129 a month. It connects a long list of regional marketplaces and adds reseller tools such as product scraping and dropship distribution.

Pick something else if: you are a brand that needs reporting, warehouse control and support you can call. See OneCart vs BigSeller.

3. SiteGiant: best all-in-one suite bought with a subsidy

Who it is for: merchants who want a webstore, marketplace integration, chat and warehouse modules from one Malaysian vendor.

SiteGiant sells packages that often bundle free months with a government subsidy campaign, sometimes limited to a set number of signups. Check what you will pay in year two, after the subsidy ends, and which modules you will use.

Pick something else if: you want published pricing and to be live this week. See OneCart vs SiteGiant.

4. EasyStore: best when your webstore is the centre

Who it is for: brands whose own online store is the main channel, with marketplaces alongside.

EasyStore is a Malaysian store builder. Its plans start at RM249 a month (Standard) and run through Business and Growth to Success at RM1,199, with lower rates for longer billing terms. Standard includes “Unlimited marketplace order sync” for Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, with 5 marketplace accounts, rising to unlimited on Success.

Pick something else if: your marketplaces are the main business and you already have, or don’t need, a webstore.

5. StoreHub: best for shops where the till comes first

Who it is for: retail shops, cafés and boutiques.

StoreHub’s Malaysian plans start from RM122 a month (Starter, with basic inventory), RM235 (Advanced, adding advanced inventory, stock transfers and alerts) and RM471 (Pro). Each plan covers one register and one store, with more as add-ons.

Pick something else if: online marketplaces are more than a side channel. Many retailers run a POS at the counter and a multichannel system for online stock.

6. AutoCount and SQL Account: best when your accountant already uses them

Who it is for: trading businesses that sell mainly offline and keep their books in one of Malaysia’s most common accounting packages.

AutoCount combines “Accounting (GL, AR, AP), Inventory (Stock), Billing” in one system, with a cloud edition advertised from RM28 a month for the first year. SQL Account has a stock module with FIFO and weighted-average costing, multiple units of measure, barcodes, reorder advice and stock ageing. Desktop pricing for both comes through dealers.

Pick something else if: you sell on Shopee, Lazada or TikTok Shop. Keep your books in AutoCount or SQL Account and run marketplace stock and orders in a multichannel system.

7. Ecount: best flat-fee system for distributors

Who it is for: distributors and wholesalers who want accounting, inventory and warehouse in one cloud system with many users.

Ecount advertises “all features, unlimited users, only RM200 a month”, including warehouse inventory, serial and lot number tracking and a WMS.

Pick something else if: marketplace sales are your main channel and you need real-time stock sync across them.

8. Zoho Inventory: best if you already run on Zoho

Who it is for: small businesses on Zoho Books or Zoho CRM.

Zoho Inventory has a free plan for 50 orders a month, 1 user and 2 warehouses. In ringgit, paid plans run from RM175 a month (RM130 billed annually) for 500 orders up to RM1,350 a month for 15,000 orders.

Pick something else if: Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop are your main channels. See Zoho Inventory alternatives.

9. Xero inventory: best for simple stock on the books

Who it is for: small businesses with a simple catalogue that already use Xero.

Xero tracks up to 4,000 finished items with stock values flowing into your accounts. Xero Malaysia prices its plans in US dollars, from US$7 a month (Lite) to US$75 (Premium). Xero itself notes that businesses with stock in several locations “probably need something more advanced”.

Pick something else if: you sell on marketplaces. Xero on its own does not sync stock to Shopee or Lazada, so pair it with a system that does, such as OneCart’s Xero add-on.

Manufacturing or several companies? Look at an ERP such as Odoo (one app is free with unlimited users), SAP Business One or NetSuite. OneCart connects to all three for marketplace stock and orders.

What an inventory management system costs in Malaysia

BigSellerFree plan, paid from RM129 a monthOrders, stores and sub-accounts
Zoho InventoryFree plan, paid from RM130 a month billed annuallyOrders per month
AutoCount cloudAdvertised from RM28 a month (limited-time offer)Modules and users

OneCartFrom S$99 a month, or S$83 billed annuallyOrders and SKUs per month. Stores are not metered
SiteGiantPublished packages, often with subsidy offersModules and campaign terms

Check two things beyond the sticker price. What will you pay at twice your current orders? And how many hours a week does your team spend copying stock between Seller Centres today? At 30 minutes a day, that is more than 180 hours a year.

Grants and subsidies

Government digitalisation grants for Malaysian SMEs run in rounds, and several vendors build their offers around them. A subsidy can be a good deal. Before you sign, ask what the plan costs once the subsidy period ends, and size the plan to your business rather than to the grant. Check the current programme on the official agency page, not a vendor’s flyer.

OneCart does not sell through grants. Plans are published, with a 14-day free trial, so you can prove the system on your own orders before you pay.

e-Invoice (MyInvois): what it means for your inventory system

LHDN’s e-Invoice rollout covers businesses in four phases: turnover above RM100 million from 1 August 2024, RM25 million to RM100 million from 1 January 2025, RM5 million to RM25 million from 1 July 2025, and up to RM5 million from 1 January 2026. Businesses with annual turnover below RM3 million are exempt. Check the LHDN e-Invoice timeline for the latest rules.

In practice, e-Invoices are issued from your accounting system. Your inventory system’s job is to get every marketplace order, refund and fee into accounting accurately, so that nothing is keyed in twice.

Questions to ask in any demo

  1. Show me a sale on Shopee updating my Lazada and TikTok Shop stock. How many seconds does it take?
  2. How do combo sets work? Sell a bundle and check that each component’s stock drops.
  3. What happens on 11.11? Ask about order limits and what the vendor did during the last big sale day.
  4. How do I bring in my existing listings? You should not have to rebuild products that already exist on your marketplaces.
  5. Who do I contact when a sync fails, and how fast do they answer?
  6. What do I pay at twice my current orders, and after any promotion or subsidy ends?

Moving off spreadsheets: a two-week plan

  1. Days 1 to 3: clean your SKUs. One unique SKU per product, used on every channel. Our free AI SKU generator can build a consistent format.
  2. Days 4 to 5: count your stock so the system starts from a true number.
  3. Days 6 to 8: connect your biggest channel first. Import listings, match them to SKUs, then add the next channel.
  4. Days 9 to 11: run real orders on one channel while you watch the stock.
  5. Days 12 to 14: switch on every channel and stop editing stock in Seller Centre.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best inventory management system in Malaysia?

For businesses selling on several online marketplaces, OneCart, because it syncs stock across Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Zalora and Shopify in real time. For a shop that sells mostly at a counter, StoreHub. For offline trading businesses whose books are in AutoCount or SQL Account, their stock modules. For a free start as a reseller, BigSeller.

How much does an inventory management system cost in Malaysia?

Free plans exist for small sellers (BigSeller, Zoho Inventory). Paid POS, accounting-based and store-builder options mostly run from about RM120 to RM250 a month at entry level. Multichannel systems built for marketplace brands start at S$99 a month for OneCart.

Is there a free inventory system in Malaysia?

Yes. BigSeller’s free plan covers 1,500 orders a month across 3 stores, and Zoho Inventory’s free plan covers 50 orders a month. Our free inventory spreadsheet template also works while you sell on a single channel.

Do I need e-Invoice for my online store?

If your annual turnover is RM3 million or more, you are in scope of LHDN’s e-Invoice rollout. Below that, you are exempt. See the e-Invoice section above.

Can one system manage my Malaysia and Singapore stores?

Yes. OneCart connects Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop stores in Malaysia, Singapore and other markets on one account, with one stock pool or separate warehouses per country.

When should I move off spreadsheets?

When you add a second sales channel, or pass about 20 orders a day. After that, manual updates cannot keep up and oversold orders start costing you cancellations and seller rating.

How do I calculate a reorder point?

Reorder point = (average daily sales × supplier lead time in days) + safety stock. Use our reorder point calculator and safety stock calculator.
